Super Megafest Comic Con 2019

We feature incredible celebrity autograph signings and photo ops with guests! Scheduled celebrity Q & A Sessions and photo ops will be held throughout the weekend.”

This is one of my favorite pop-cult & comic book fanfest events I attend every year. They have all of comic book & collectible vendors, great celebrities, comic creators and cosplayers to meet. Some of the celebrities they’ve had over the years; Patrick Stuart, Wil Wheaton, John Wesley Shipp, Edward Furlong, Michael Beck, Cassandra Peterson, Mark Goddard, Edward James Olmos, Burt Reynolds, Kevin Sorbo, Lee Meriwether and so many more.

This convention’s location over the years has mainly been at Sheraton Framingham Hotel in Framingham, MA. There was a three-year period, 2015-2017, where it was at the Royal Plaza Trade Center in Marlborough, MA. I preferred the Marlborough location, where I wish they would have kept it as the venue for Super Megafest. More openness, more things happening and not as hot and cramped.

In 2019, I think there were less comic book vendors this year. It was hard for me to find some of the back issues I was looking for. It seems at Super Megafest is becoming more of a FanCon rather than a Comic-con.

There were not as many comic book artists and creators as well this year. ☹ Hopefully, next year they will more. I have a Journal Book, that I have my favorite comic books artist sign and sketch. I have been bringing it to every convention since 2014.

2019 Super Megafest brought a lot more cosplayers though. Which I enjoyed interacting with. There was Batman, Two Face, The Penguin, Spider-man, The Tick, Elsa, Capt. Jack Sparrow, Mera, Joker, Rosco P Coltrane, Chewbacca, Cobra Commander & Serpentor, Tony Stark and many more.

The biggest event for me was the Warriors 40th Reunion VIP Event. We meet a lot of the actors and costume designers. The Warriors was an underground movie that is still has popularity today. After the Event the actors were in the hallway casually talking with fans.
