So let talk about casting of magic and some of the different ways we see portrayed as there are some basic truth with in it. So i am going to start with some fandom and talk about the different ways they cast magic or spell that just seem to happen. I not going to talk about all of them thou if you like you can write some down that i have missed. So let start off with the one most people think about when it come to casting magic.
Harry Potter come to mind to most people when it come to casting magic. Threw there books and movies. So the Harry Potter universe spell casting is slightly different on the way the use magic. It seem that all wizards and witches in this universe needs a wand to cast magic. As well as a incantation spoken. I also believe they need to eye contact also. The wands have have a mind or there own personal the wand seem to chose the magic person.The magic people in this universe seem born with it need to learn how to use the magic powers.
Lets go to another way and way different kind of spell casting. Lets talk little bit about Sabrina the Netflix show. So these witches and warlocks.. ohh i hate using that word. Get there power from Satin when they sign there name in the book of the best. They also can casting spell by chanting and using different tool to work there magic. So depend on the spell that is used you may need candles or eat a apple from a oldest apple tree and many different another ways of casting there magick. Thou there magic power come from mostly Satan it seems.
The Magicians is a show i really like it was on syfic. There are no wands used with these magic people.You have magic circuits with in your hands i believe. So they casting magic by using hand movements. The Divine seem to give the magick flow of energy they need to cast magic on earth. There is a magic spring that flows magic to people. The Moon seem to be away to affected the casting also of the magic. So you have many different thing that can effect the magic as well.This show was very well written and if you have not seen check it out.
Oh k this is the last one that i am going to mention. Motherland Fort Salem. This is a brand new show that is interesting to check out. So it start with the witches in american in the 1700s . As one of them writes a contract to help fight the revolution war. So now all witches must serve military, Fort Salem is all women fort. The way they cast is using vibrations sounds with in the voice. As different vibrations pitches will do different kind of magick. Kinda reminds me of what a bard in D&D would do. That kind of casting its all while using the sounds of the throats. So if they can not speak they can not do magick. Its new show to check out there only 4 ep so far its interesting to say the less
